Crystal Reports Crosstab

Hello Everyone,
Is there anyway I can repeat the row field values for each record in a crosstab report. Currently they only appear once per group.
Regards,
Omar Malikif u want to repeat row label then
u can repeat by checking repeat row label option in customize style tab of cross tab expert.

if u want to repeat field values
use a formula, assign same field to it and use formula in cross tab.

crystal reports conversion

Hi

Im new to reporting services but experianced in crystal reports

Im trying to convert some crystal reports into sql 2005 reporting services.

I have this formula in crystal reports which I cannot seem to replicate in Reporting services

if {TABLE1.TYPEID} = 1 then (0 - (

if {TABLE2.CURRENCYDESC} <> 'GBP' then {TABLE3.TOTALVALUE} / {TABLE4.EXCHANGERATE} else
({TABLE3.TOTALVALUE})-{@.line total}))
else
if {TABLE2.CURRENCYDESC} <> 'GBP' then
{@.Gross Profit} / {TABLE4.EXCHANGERATE} else {@.Gross Profit}

I have already created the formulas for @.line total and @.gross profit

Can any one please put me into the right direction

Thanks for your help

Use this expression assuming that have created 2 calculated database fields called "LineTotal" and "GrossProfit" and have the TABLE fields (as in crystal expression) as dataset fields:

IIf(Fields!TYPEID.Value=1,(0-(IIf(Fields!CURRENCYDESC.Value<>"GBP", Fields!TOTALVALUE.Value/Fields!EXCHANGERATE.Value, Fields!TOTALVALUE.Value-Fields!LineTotal.Value))), IIf(Fields!CURRENCYDESC.Value<>"GBP", Fields!GrossProfit.Value/Fields!EXCHANGERATE.Value, Fields!GrossProfit.Value))

|||Hi, I am currently trying to convert a crystal report over to a sql 2005 reporting services. In my crystal report I have a parameter called @.Option which has the following formula associated to it:

Local NumberVar Opt := 0;

select {@.ReportStyle}
case 1: Opt := Opt + 2
default: Opt;

select {@.ReportType}
case 1: Opt := Opt + 1
case 3: Opt := Opt + 1
default: Opt;

select {@.EnterpriseOption}
case 2: Opt := Opt + 4
case 4: Opt := Opt + 4
default: Opt;

Opt;

where @.ReportStyle, @.ReportType and @.EnterpriseOption are all parameters from the same report.

I am having some trouble trying to convert this over. Can any body give me any suggestions or point me in the right direction on how this can be achieved.

Thanks in advance.

Crystal Reports connection to a Bugzilla MySQL database - problem with links.

I'm trying to set up Crystal Reports with an ODBC connection to Bugzilla which I know works.

It is crashing if I add more than one table - either if I click on Links or OK.

Do I need to give the user any extra priveledges to see links between tables. Are there links between tables in the MySQL database in the same way you would see in a SQL Server database?

I've done searches such as:
bugzilla odbc links
and
mysql odbc links

but I didn't find anything...

Thanks for your help,

JamesNobody got any idea what I might be doing wrong? My MySQL server is on a Linux Fedora Core 5 machine if that helps...|||It could be smart linking.

Crystal Reports chart

I have a report That list phone calls that are received by users. These calls are grouped by user, then by Month, week, day and hour. I want to make a chart that shows the calls by day of week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc) and this chart will be in the footer of the user group ( The chart will show the total calls that were recieved in each day of the week by that user).

The way i have done it was: In the Data tab of the "Chart Expert" option "Placement - Place chart:" i selected the "for each" user group (This is the first group).

In the option "On change of" i put FF_GetWeekday
(a formula field to get the day of the week")

In the option "Show values" i selected the field "table.call_id" to count all the calls that were recieved in each day of the week by each user. This works fine, the problem is that i need to count only the calls that were answered (without the lost calls) by the user and with a call duration greater than 0 seconds.
The chart expert dont have any option to validate the counting of the calls.

I have tried instead of the field "table.call_id", using a formula field with a code something like:
If table.call_duration>0 and table.call_type="Answered" then "{table.call_id}"
but the result is always the correct+1, for example if i have 30 calls in monday for user "USER1" then in the chart appears 31

I dont know what i am doing wrong or if what i am trying to do is possible.

can you help me?

Thank YouSounds to me as if you need to "reset" ( to zero) the value of the formula field ("{table.call_id}") each time you begin a new group, a new user.

Or try a running total where you want to evaluate when
table.call_duration>0 and table.call_type="Answered" and reset on user.

Crystal Reports and Unicode input

Hi!

I'm trying to use Crystal Reports with our proprietory data (some of it stored in CodeBase database, some in text files, some is captured in runtime, etc). The simplest solution would be to create comma separated file and pass it to CR. It works, except our text fields can be in a variety of langauges (some european and Chinese Simplified and Traditional). Our software uses Unicode, so I'd prefer to create Unicode CSV file. These files cause CR to fail - it is obvious that CR does not realise that the file is Unicode. I tried other options, and so far I've discovered that CR can read Unicode XML files, while treating them as ADO.Net databases. This is not the best way out, as I suspect it requires .Net framework to be present on target PCs, and it's a big install.

So - any ideas? What simple format can I use to pass Unicode text to CR, or may be some other approaches.

I'm using: CR ver XI, target OS - Win2000 and XP, we can not expect target PC to have anything but Windows installed

Many thanks

balrogPS, when I said CR fails - it does not crash, it simply shows incorrect column names (the first one includes Unicode BOM), number of columns and and all values are wrong
balrog|||hi!
